The Daily Press featured a nice review about the Cabo fish tacos at the Cove Tavern in Williamsburg. Following is an excerpt:
Seafood is the main event at the Cove Tavern. The casual Williamsburg gathering spot serves a variety of intriguing items such as Island Shrimp and Grits, Pan-Fried Grouper and Caribbean Rubbed Salmon. There’s plenty of choices for non-seafood lovers as well, including ribs, steaks and dishes.
At lunch, the seafood mixes in with sandwiches, salads and burgers. A menu category called Cabo Favorites (named for the city on the Baja California peninsula, I suspect) caught my eye, and my waitress gave high marks to the Fish Tacos.
The assemble-it-yourself dish starts with pieces of lightly breaded flounder topped with a homemade salsa. There’s a serving of slaw spiced up with bits of poblano pepper and a slightly tart cilantro-lime aioli sauce drizzled throughout. Four flour tortillas sit on each corner of the plate, ready for wrapping.

Another REVIEW liked the fish tacos: I kept going back and forth between the Crab and Avocado Louis and the Baja Fish Tacos, but I’m going to have to say that the Crab and Avocado Louis was my favorite dish. I have never tasted or seen anything like it before. Here is the description from their menu: “Jumbo lump crab meat stacked with avocado, sweet shrimp, tomatoes, field greens and finished with caper louis dressing”. It was creamy and delicious! I’ve never felt so impatient while Eddie was taking the photos of the dish before – that’s how appetizing it looked!
