Holiday Traditions at Kingsmill

The holidays are upon us and Kingsmill Resort would like to invite you to join us in making the season bright. Throughout this holiday season, Kingsmill Resort is transforming into a wonderland of festivities for you and the entire family.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving Events:

Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude and celebrating family. Gather your loved ones and enjoy some southern hospitality with our Thanksgiving lodging package, which includes breakfast, a Thanksgiving buffet, and complimentary transportation to Colonial Williamsburg for a memorable historic tour.

After a day of shopping and exploring the resort, join us for a new tradition, “Kingsmill in Lights.”  Watch as Santa Claus flips the switch illuminating Kingsmill Resort with holiday cheer. See our grand Christmas tree in the resort circle, shops, restaurants and buildings all simultaneously light up to the tune of Christmas carolers.  Finally, join us for a holiday concert in the James River Grand Ballroom sure to spark the holiday spirit that will last the entire season.  The Thanksgiving celebration comes full-circle with all-day events on Saturday, November 26th such as breakfast at the Bray Bistro, gingerbread and ornament decorating, lunch with Santa, wine tastings, kid’s workshops, SleigHay rides and S’Mores.

RES Holiday

Christmas Events:

Throughout December the merriment continues all the way through New Year’s Eve. On Fridays, carolers can be found throughout the resort singing holiday songs. On Saturdays, Mom and Dad can drop the kids off while they indulge in a wine tasting,  spa treatment, a round of golf or just some R&R. The kids will be kept busy making peppermint hands, marshmallow snow men, stocking door hangers, playing reindeer games.. They will partake in a Scavenger hunt that ends with a SleigHay ride and S’Mores in the resort front Circle. At lunchtime, everyone can visit with Santa, Mrs. Claus, and the elves while enjoying a wonderful adult- and kid-friendly buffet set to the sounds of Christmas songs played on the baby grand piano.

Christmas Day features a delicious buffet in the Bray Bistro and James River Grand Ballroom.  The menu is ambrosia of mouthwatering delights such as Orecchiette Pasta with Dried Cranberries, Goat Cheese and Apple Cider Dressing, and Virginia Bourbon Glazed Ham.
