WILLIAMSBURG — Colonial Williamsburg this month is debuting several new programs including a play and a patriot performance by the Colonial Williamsburg’s Fifes and Drums and military staff.
New evening programs which begin Tuesday, July 5, include “A Grand Medley of Entertainments,” “The 18th-century Play Series – Polly Honeycombe,” “African American Music,” and “Pirates Among Us.” These programs will be held through Sept. 2. A separate admissions ticket is required to attend all evening programs.
The play “Jefferson & Adams” is returning to the Kimball Theater for two performances on Tuesday and Wednesday. The play highlights the presidencies of Thomas Jefferson and John Adams. Tickets are $12 for general admission and $10 for seniors and students.
“A Salute to the Nation,” a patriotic performance with the Fifes and Drums begins July 8 and runs every Friday through Aug. 26. No admission ticket required.
Shields Tavern will be the site of a dinner theater with “High Life Below Stairs.” Patrons will enjoy a three-course meal as the servants “don their attire for farce and folly.” These performances will be every Tuesday and Saturday through Aug. 30. Reservations required. Chowning’s Tavern will host a beer garden with music and games nightly from 5-7 p.m. through Sept. 1.
