Working in cooperation with radio station 92.3 FM The Tide and the Williamsburg Yorktown Daily, Kingsmill Resort will host the open-air concert on the grassy area behind the Eagles restaurant featuring the golf course and the James River as its backdrop. Although the concert is free, tickets are required. To reserve tickets, go to www.WYDaily.com and follow the link that says “FREE CONCERT.”
Doors will open at 6 p.m. with the Jason Spooner Trio taking the stage at 7 p.m., directly followed by Scars on 45. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from Kingsmill Resort, and no outside food or drink will be permitted. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket or chair to enjoy lawn seating during the event.
Scars on 45’s debut single “Give Me Something” quickly made it into the Top 5 on the charts for Triple A radio, the format of the locally owned 92.3 FM The Tide. The Jason Spooner trio is also recognized as a band on the cusp of national success.
