The Third Annual Hampton Blues Festival featuring Bobby ‘Blue’ Bland, Tito Jackson, Mel Waiters and Theodis Ealey. The Hampton Blues Festival is scheduled to be at the Hampton Coliseum on January 28thso it’s not too late to make your plans! The show starts at 7pm, with the doors opening at 6pm.
You don’t want to miss out on the legendary Bobby ‘Blue’ Bland, born in 1930, who was one of the the main creators of the modern soul-blues sound in the 1950’s and 1960’s. He has continued to record and do live performances throughout his life (often with good friend B.B King), and has held true to his soul blues sounds, and only rarely crossing over into the pop arena. Also, Tito Jackson will be sure to enchant you with his soulful sounds rendered from a lifelong passion for blues, R&B and Pop.
Tickets are on sale now for the Hampton Blues Festival. Reserved seating tickets are $39.50 per person and tickets for military personnel are $34.50 per person. Personal cameras are permitted at Hampton Blues Festival (35 mm or smaller, no detachable lenses). However, no audio or video recording is permitted.
