Williamsburg Weekend – Grand Illumination, Football & More

From Grand Illumination to an NCAA football playoff games, greater Williamsburg will buzz with activitiy this weekend, the traditional beginning of the Christmas season.

Starting things off is the annual Christmas Parade, moved up 30 minutes to 8:30 a.m. More than 100 units will march along Duke of Gloucester Street and Richmond Road. The time change is a product of a 1:30 p.m. kickoff at nearby Zable Stadium, where the William & Mary football team hosts Georgia Southern in the second round of the Football Championship Series playoffs.

Also featured this weekend  is, the annual Christmas Homes Tour, the Yorktown Lighted Boat Parade, holiday music, craft shows, all leading up to Sunday’s Grand Illumination.
