Disclaimer: I spent a good amount of time with my brother, Gregg, at “The Leafe” during my early post graduate days from USC. I also spent time there with Geoffrey, Rob, Joe, Judy, Bill and Scott. I can almost remember “power hour”. Now there are two “Leafes” to choose from – the Original and the one at New Town. Thankfully, there were not two “Leafes” back then. I never would have gotten home. On with the review:
Voted a Top 10 Bar by USA Today, The Green Leafe is a privately owned restaurant serving the finest in upscale American tavern fare and boasting the best beer selection in southeastern Virginia.
The Green Leafe has been a Williamsburg institution since it opened its doors in 1974. A meeting place for locals and tourists, regulars and newcomers alike, The Leafe welcomes everyone to drop by and get a taste of what makes this place so inviting.
With 64 drafts and over 150 different bottled beers, a full bar, an extensive wine list, and daily lunch and dinner specials, it would be hard to imagine a better place to drop in for a quick business lunch, to have a dinner with the family, or to while away a weekend afternoon.
