You don’t have to love golf to enjoy dining at the Green Course Grill in Williamsburg. Overlooking the Green Course’s 18th hole at the Golden Horseshoe Golf Club, the 40-seat restaurant is a quiet, intimate place to eat. The central part of the clubhouse is outfitted with tables for four, in natural wicker. In winter, a gas-burning fireplace keeps diners cozy and warm. One of the restaurant’s best meals features meaty, molasses-barbecued pork ribs with slaw and fries; steaks are super. The menu changes somewhat with the season. The golf course is in the middle of a wildlife habitat, so you are likely to see deer, birds and rabbits on the road leading there.
